Get out of the woodwork!

So, I’ve recently realized that I’m getting more hits than usual on this blog over the past month. (huh? you guys aren’t totally bored???) So what will bring you out of the woodwork? Questions? Pictures?

..um, a giveaway???

Will THAT make you post a comment so I know who you are? Huh??? :D

A great night

I got back a little bit ago from Barnes and Noble. So why is that so special? Because I got to see Lisa for the first time in about 14 months! YAY! She’s here visiting the family for a few weeks, so I met up w/ her and Erin for some drinks, snacks, scrap gossip, and a little pouring over magazines. Oh, if only Traci had been there, it would have been just like old times.

Also, per Heather’s request (thanks, Heather!), a few layouts. Sorry, but most of the layouts I’ve done over the past few weeks are promised for Amanda’s book, so I can’t share those. What I CAN share is some new Hambly sneak peeks, though! I didn’t get a chance to post these here before I left for CHA, probably b/c I finished them about 8 hours before I was supposed to be on a plane. lol. But here ya go!

1. Woodgrain paper and new tree rubons:

(I think thanks to that picture I must finally concede who Gabe looks like, dontcha think?)

2. New Halloween rubons!

And no, I didn’t let her eat the entire bucket of candy, but she sure was protecting that thing with all of her might!

Have a great week!

If I were you, I would…

…stop reading this blog? Because I never manage to update it? Bad me!

In the past 15 days, I have:

1. turned 31 (omg, did I really just confess to that?)

2. traveled to Chicago for 5 days for CHA-Summer (FUN!!!)

3. met 1/2 of the HOFers!! Wow, what an amazing bunch of people! I LOVE these people!

4. scrapped no less than 16 layouts and/or projects (that has got to be a record for me)

5. called Lowe’s 3 times to come fix the lock on our 8-month-old, $1400 sliding door (um, never buy a door from the Lowe’s in Newport News. Ever.)

6. chowed down on a bushel of crabs. YUM! Two tupperwares full of crab meat are still waiting for me in the freezer to be transformed into yummy Maryland crab cakes, the way only a true Maryland girl can make them.

7. Scrapped at Peg’s twice (including tonight. Um, it is nearly 4am right now, and I only got back from her house within the past hour.)

8. carted Gabe to 8 swim lessons and 5 days of soccer camp.

9. paid the bill for the kids’ school. Man, I need a job. Sending two kids to private school is UGLY!

10. ordered two backpacks for Gabe from Pottery Barn Kids. The first one, though they said was for age 7-10, was SUPER small. Ok, not super, but small enough that a second grader can’t use it. And, of course, he just HAD to have it embroidered, which means I can’t return it. Anybody want a really nice backpack w/ the name ‘Gabe’ on it for cheap? Anyone???

There. How’s that for an update. I know I’ve done more exciting things than just that, but that’s all I can think of at 4am. I seriously need to kick myself and get on here more often, maybe post some pics or SOMETHING! Give me a break, though - it is summer, and well, it’s summer! Nobody stays inside and blogs in the SUMMER! lol!

***Edited***

Ok, I came back because, really, I haven’t posted pics in a while. So here’s a couple:

One for the scrappers. :) This one is a part of the HOF group that met for lunch last Friday. We ended up enjoying each other’s company so much that we walked the show floor together all afternoon. Had a great photo op with the new CK editors, Brian Tippets and Britney Mellen (omg - she is the CUTEST little thing, and full of SPUNK!) If you look carefully, you’ll also see Becky Higgins behind me on the right. She was a sweetheart!

And one for the family. Emily’s eyes in this one crack me up. Sorry it is in black and white, but I forgot to change the camera settings when I took it, and the color was BAD BAD BAD. So, b/w to the rescue! (Aren’t they getting so BIG?!?!)

Ok. Really. It’s now 4:10am. I’m going to bed.

I get to share now…

…at least a little bit!

A few weeks ago, I was asked to contribute to CK Contributing Editor Amanda Probst’s new book, to be released in January. I cannot tell you how fabulous this book promises to be, and I’m so very honored that she asked me to be a part of it! We are having a BLAST putting it together, and I know that y’all are gonna love it! Also contributing to it are Summer Fullerton, Laura Kurz, and Tiffany Tillman. I said it’s gonna be awesome, right? :D Wish I could tell you more, but not yet!

More details when I’m allowed to share them!

Summer is in full swing!

And we’re keeping busy, but I suppose that is obvious from the look of my blog!

I can’t believe July is already here. Why is it that summer is the one time of the year that seems to fly by the most? Lots in store this month…cooking out w/ Erin and Tim on Wednesday, Transformers and Harry Potter movies (woohoo!), my bday, and, of course CHA!!!!!. So excited. Excited to be staying w/ Jen, walking the floor w/ her, meeting people, doing stuff. Excited to see my girl Alexis again. Excited at all of the new products, although it frustrates me to end that I can’t actually BUY anything there! (which, I’m sure, is a good thing). And OH SO excited to have a lunch w/ the HOFers. I just can’t wait to meet my 007 crew. The Bond Girls, and James Bond (aka Mitchell). Yup, that’s us. It has been so much fun getting to know them online, but I can’t wait to make the face-to-face connection.

Yes, July is promising to be a VERY cool month!
