A Few Revealed Secrets
I’m utterly horrible at keeping secrets. When holidays or birthdays come, I usually end up giving my presents early b/c I just can’t handle keeping the secret any more! But this month I’ve been pretty good. I held it in. And now I get to share a few things.
1. As a result of a wild cab ride in California, I had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer Childs, owner of I Remember When, which is a division of Xyron. Long story short, she asked me to complete some project for the Xyron show on Home Shopping Network on Monday, March 5th. I think I surprised myself on what I was able to accomplish! I very rarely do any altered items, but something inspired me for this show, and I did a TON! Throughout the day, the Wishblade will be the special value product of the day, so my projects should be on there rather frequently. I can’t post them yet, but after the show, I’ll post them so the family can see.
But, so you know what to look out for, I did a wreath, two rectangular vases, a bud vase, a tea box, 12 votive candle holders, 2 silohuettes in frames, 2 floating frames, a magnet board, a layout, and a minibook. (um, I TOLD you I’ve been busy!!!!!) I hope you guys will take a peek at the shows that day!!!
Just after returning from CHA, Wendy at Scrapsupply asked me to be their guest designer for March. I was, and still am, so very flattered. It was so much fun doing some layouts for Becky’s ‘Mixing Patterns’ article. You can check out the newsletter HERE.
So that’s it for the secrets. Just trying to wind down from my scrapping blitzkrieg as of late. On the home front, Chris was in a fender bender w/ the Accord today (not his fault, phew!). He’s totally fine - it was just a small accident, but we will be getting bumper number THREE for that car. In the 8 years that we’ve owned it, it seems that someone installed a very powerful magnet inside of that back bumper. But we just can’t get rid of it. I mean, it is 8 years old with only 70,000 miles and is still in pristine condition (well, except for the whole bumper thing). So it seems a rental car is in my future as I’ll probably have to give him the van so he can get onto post. No worries!!!!
I guess that is the update for the day! Thanks for letting me share! (now, Mom, go tell TJ to set his VCR.)

I totally forgot about this! I got a very pleasant surprise last evening! I was browsing the BHG Scrap-A-Faire website and found this!
Yes, that is my little cutie pie. Now, don’t go get all excited - it is NOT my layout. My dear friend Erin Roe created this amazing layout of Emily. She had to borrow some girl photos from me for CHA. lol (Erin, we REALLY need to make you have a GIRL!) I had no idea it was going to be on the SAF site, though! It was such a pleasant surprise. Thank you, Erin!

Congrats girl! You so rock!
