She’s gone mega-digital, folks!!!

And this camera is so rockin that even *I* can look good in a picture!!!

That’s right…a treat to myself for living through 8 months of utter disability torture. Because…drumroll please…MY DISABILITY WAS FINALLY APPROVED!!! (ps Laura O - this was the secret!) And that means mega check. Which means Tracey gets mega camera because I deserve every last freakin pixel of it! Granted, the insurance company still has not completely decided whether I will continue to receive benefits, but, because they have taken so long, they did decide to backpay me to this point. I’m not completely out of the woods yet, but this certainly is a HUGE start!

So anyway, back to my wonderfully photogenic life. Do you like them? I even washed and blew my hair dry, and put make-up on. To look pretty for my camera! (Actually, is was to take bio pictures for Scrapvillage and Paper Heart. :) ) These were taken w/ the 50mm f/1.8 lens. I also got a 28-135mm w/ image stability…actually I think the pic of Em above was taken w/ that one. Rockin lenses, too, folks!

Ahhhhhh, heaven, I tell you.

Ahhh…good t.v. viewing is BACK!

Ok..taking a break from the crazy amount of scrap work I have piled on my desk to enjoy some totally random thoughTs.

And my thoughT at the momenT…I love January t.v.!!!

Battlestar Gallactica started nearly 2 weeks ago. Yes, I watch it. Can’t miss it. Hooked on it. Totally Chris and Eddie’s fault. There is no way on God’s Green Earth that I would have thoughT I’d be watching the Sci-Fi channel today if you asked me 10 years ago. But seriously, this show rocks. (plus there is some GREAT eye candy on there! shhhh - don’t tell Chris).

24!!!! And four hours of it this week!!! But seriously…how many people can you kill before the first comercial break? Man, Keifer must run fast, b/c it is amazing how much he can do in a day. Then again, right now I feel like I”m running my own personal episode of 24…life of a scrapper. And I may be giving Keifer a run for his money on how much I can do in 24 hours!

And lest we forget…

AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!!!!
Oh, so many things that have given me great viewing pleasure over the last few days…

“I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy…I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy…I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy…I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy…I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy…I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy…” (felt like I was back in the 80’s listening to one of my scratched records).

The Tan Girl. And Her Mom. Let’s try to back it down to only ONE bottle of mascara a day, please girls?

“Lean on me…TIL YOU’RE NOT STRONG”… and if you heard that chic sing, you’d know why you would no longer be strong if you leaned on her.

Ahhhh…sometimes I love t.v.

As a side note, I have rockin news, but I would not dare post it publically until it is affirmed…maybe next week.

As an end note…my new Digi REbel XT and two rockin lenses arrive TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why can’t we all just get along.

If you aren’t privvy to the scrapping world, you have NO idea what I’m talking about. Which is probably good because it has been embarrassingly shameless as of late. But I have found over the past 24 hours that conflict is everywhere, including in a passionate hobby. It makes me sad. So, in light of this, I’m singing a song… (I’ll try to do it my non-sick, non-raspy, non-manly voice)

I’d like to build the world a home
And furnish it with love
Grow apple trees and honey bees
And snow-white turtle doves

Chorus:
I’d like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony
I’d like to hold it in my arms
And keep it company
(That’s the song I hear)
I’d like to see the world for once
(Let the world sing today)
All standing hand in hand
And hear them echo through the hills
For peace throughout the land
That’s the song I hear
(That’s the song I hear)
Let the world sing today
(Let the whole wide world keep singing)
A song of peace that echoes on
And never goes away

(Repeat 1st stanza and Chorus)

Put your hand in my hand
Let’s begin today
Put your hand in my hand
Help me find a way

(Repeat Chorus til fade)

Hmm. Good song. I should sing more often.

Happy New Year!

Ok. I’m bad. I haven’t written a darn thing for the new year. But, quite frankly, I’m waiting for it to be better! In the first week of the new year, the kids have been cranky, Emily has woken up in the middle of the night every night, and I am sick for my FOURTH time this season. Ugh. Oh, and still no word on the disability - which is starting to sound like a broken record at this point.

On a positive note, however, my mojo is flowing and the scrap pages have been a-coming! Of course, instead of working on the fonts or paper designs like I’m supposed to be doing, I’m working on my Hall of Fame entry. Oops! But it will get done…eventually. The deadlines loom…. :)
